Artist's Description
I'm pleased to offer this beautifully detailed enlargement of a 1959 postage stamp showing a beardless Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth president of the United States. Image is from a 1860 painting by George Peter Alexander Healy. It shows Lincoln's features just after his election but before taking office. A facsimile signature is at the top of the stamp.
