Artist's Description
This is a photograph of the Parthenon from a corner perspective. The shot of the Parthenon was taken from a low-angle perspective to show some of the interior carvings. It was taken from the Northwest corner. Scenes of ancient conflicts are shown above the columns.
This perspective hides the scaffolding while showing much of the structure and internal detail. The overcast sky helped achieve even lighting and display of the interior detail.
