Description
Old map illustrating 19th century racist view of Africa. Original title: "Colonizability of Africa." This is an enchanted, restored reproduction of an old map that was published in 1899 as part of the book "A History of the Colonization of Africa by Alien Races" authored by Harry Johnston. The mapmaker uses four colors to promote a Eurocentric view of Africa's resources for potential colonization.
This is an enhanced, restored reproduction of an old map. It features landmarks and is rich in historical information. I have selected interesting, old graphic images for digital restoration and editing. The images were then adjusted and brightened to make the images suitable for display and other purposes. The resulting image brings out many details and landmarks, making this map a great historical reference and conversation piece. In this time period, it appears that Arabia was considered part of Africa and a candidate for exploitation, © 2021 for this enhanced, restored reproduction.
