Photograph of an increasingly rare type of barn, a Connecticut tobacco barn. It shows a hilltop Connecticut shade tobacco barn with varied shingles. The side vents are open for ventilation. Barns like this one are used to dry tobacco leaves for cigar wrappers. Connecticut tobacco barns are unique architectural gems that have recently inspired preservation efforts.
